Background & Aim: Currently Patient's experience and expectations are very important in the clinical management. Patient's priorities may be different a health care providers. However, there is lack of independent study on patient's expectations from of treatment principles of ESWL for renal stone diseases. This study was aimed to quantify what aspects of ESWL are important from the patient's prospective and allow ones to put the appropriate focus on the result of patient expectations rates researches in order to allocate resources and improve service appropriately.
 Material and Methods: In this descriptive research, with non randomized purposeful sampling of 280 patients refer to ESWL unit of Shohadaye Ashayer hospital in khoramabad who has inclusion criteria for this study were asked to complete a questionnaire and rate each aspect based on numerical scale from 1 to 10. Data were analyzed with sigma stat program, descriptive statistics and Mann-Whitney rank sum test.
 Results: Stone clearance was the most important aspect of treatment with mean 9.55±1.35 and general anesthesia with mean 5.01±3.59 had the least importance. pain control was rated only 8 th. Follow up at the end of treatment and explanation of procedure and possible complication were the 10 th  and 11th.
 Conclusion: Despite many studies that focus on pain relief in these patients, pain control has a little importance in their views. Patients should be educated that stone clearance isn’t possible as 100% and may be need for other treatment option. Patient should be aware that ESWL has some compilations and may be needs to follow up.
