The Study of Relation Between Job Satisfaction and Individual Characteristics of Health Information Management Staffs in Educational-Health Centers of Lorestan University of Medical Sciences in 2013

Abstract
Background & Aim: Job satisfaction is the attitude of employees about their jobs. Job satisfaction is considered as an important factor in increasing productivity of workers belonging and attached to the work environment and improving the quantity and quality of work. These are influenced by facilities and working environment, salary and benefits, supervision, and relationships with colleagues. The aim of this study was to determine Job Satisfaction and individual characteristics of health information management Staffs in Medical- Educational Centers of Lorestan University of Medical Sciences in 2013.
 Material and Methods: This was a descriptive- correlation analytic study. 47 individuals were selected randomly by proportional counting method. Collecting data was carried out using Smith job satisfaction (JDI) and individual characteristics questionnaires. With colleagues and improve their job by attitude measuring likert scale. Data analyzing was done using of descriptive statistics.
 Results: The results show there was significant correlation between job satisfaction and individual characteristics of staff. Satisfaction in current job, aspects of supervision, partners’ relationship, upgrading and promotion, salary and benefits and work conditions style at 0.35 to 0.64 shows changes are all positive and significant.
 Conclusion: Job Satisfaction and demographic conditions of the workplace of staff at educational-health centers showed a meaningful relationship of a mediocre level. Optimal service expansion and development in this area will benefit the valuable resources.
