The influence of Television on childrens health behaviors

Abstract
Background: Since health behaviors of early childhood are causally linked to health-related problems later in life, identifying an establishing behavior that promote and maintain health during early childhood is of national priority.
It is estimated that families spend approximately 40% of their private lives with Television. Regardless of the time watching Television , the contents of programs may lead to deleterious health behaviors , lower social communications , lower personal relationships , lower reading skills , lower school achievement, obesity, aggression, antisocial behaviors, early sexual activity and substance abuse in childrens.
Conclusion: Televisions content and the sedentary time watching Television may influence children,s physical health and well being. Thus, we conlude that  families must limit children,s Television watching to help reduce their behavioral risk factors.
