Abstract
Background & Aim: The experience of loneliness is a universal problem that more or less everyone has experienced and is associated with life. The aim of the present study was to determine the State of loneliness among the female students of Tehran Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences University.
 
Materials and Methods: This was a cross-sectional study in which 118 female students of Tehran University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences In 2013 were the samples. The data was collected through a demographic & Loneliness Scale questionnaire that was completed by self-management.
 Results: The mean age of participants was 21/90 with SD 2/022 Year. 88/1% and 11/4% were enrolled respectively in undergraduate and graduate school. 36/4% felt a low level of loneliness, 33% felt a high level of loneliness and 30/6% had moderate feelings of loneliness.
Conclusion: According to the findings more than half of students felt lonely from moderate to up. Therefore, it is recommended to provide an appropriate and effective consultation times for the students, identify the causes of loneliness in them and provide appropriate solutions for the reduction and prevention of secondary complications such as Loneliness and isolation.
